Tigers 14U Championship Win USSSA in Lewisville

Tigers Dominate in USSSA Finals!

Dallas-Tigers-Baseball-Championship-14U

Congratulations to the 14U Dallas Tigers for winning the championship at Railroad Park in Lewisville, Texas this weekend!

Great pitching, defense and some timely hitting helped lead the Tigers 14u-Hernandez win this past weekends USSSA tournament at Railroad Park in Lewisville. The Tigers won 4 games on Sunday winning 5-0, 5-2, 4-3 and 16-0 in the championship game. Bryar Barnes came in relief to pitch out of a jam in game 3 and closed 2 of the 4 games. Foster Sawyer and Brandon Maine pitched complete game gems on Sunday. Barnes also lead the Tiger offense.

TIGERS 14U-VANLANDINGHAM/ TIGERS 11U-INGRAM/ TIGERS 9U-POLK GET TO SEMI-FINALS!

In Tulsa, Vanlandinghams 14u Tigers fell a short in extra innings. Our Tiger boys played well all weekend and really came together as a team in Oklahoma.

At Railroad Park, the Tigers 11u-Ingram team didn’t have their “A” game in a semi-final slugfest being outscored 16-13.  Our kids battled back from a big deficit, but just couldn’t catch up.

In Dallas, our Tigers 9u- Polk team was outlasted in the semi-finals. Polk’s club came back to show alot of character to beat the Canes 7-4 on Sunday. The Canes beat us 19-0 on Saturday. Way to go boys!!

Go Tigers!

About

About the Dallas Tigers

Since 1993 the Dallas Tigers have won 15 National Championships, 22 Tiger Alumni have been selected for U.S. National Teams, over 150 Tigers have gone on to play Division I College Baseball. and 26 Tiger Alumni have been drafted to the Major Leagues.  This club is about developing players and preparing them for the next level whether that is college baseball or pro.

The Dallas Tigers Baseball Club is a nonprofit organization exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the IRS Code.  The purpose of the club is to promotie the game of baseball by providing an environment where boys can participate as teammates in leagues and tournaments composed of highly competitive select traveling baseball teams.

Coaches are retained as independent contractors to teach and motivate players and to develop their individual and team skills to their highest potential.  The ultimate goal of the club is to place the players in college level programs or assist them in the professional draft process.

The club has an advisory board that oversees the operations of the club and executive board that helps manage the many details involved in running a baseball organization.  Each team has a team administrator who serves on the board and is responsible for the administration and communication between the board, the team, and the coach.

Tiger Shoe Drive Huge Success

The-Shoe-BankThe Dallas Tigers Shoe Drive was a huge success with over 1,000 shoes donated to the Shoe Bank.  Pictured is Tommy Hernandez of the Dallas Tigers and Michael Barringer of the Shoe Bank.  The Shoe Bank has just one goal when it was founded in 1989 – to put comfortable shoes on a few hundred homeless men living on the streets of downtown Dallas.  The program today provides shoes for twenty-thousand people every year – primarily children and both here at home and abroad.

Thanks Dalllas Tigers!
