12U Ingram takes 2nd in the Triple Crown Metroplex Opener
The 12U Dallas Tigers – Ingram came in 2nd place in the Triple Crown Metroplex Opener this weekend at Texas Star in Euless. In Saturday’s pool play, the game was in top form in all phases and the Tigers rolled to two consecutive 10 – 0 shutouts to gain the top seed and first round bye in Sunday’s elimination bracket. Championship Sunday proved to be quite a bit more challenging with slight wins over Dallas Stars Black and Dallas Tigers – Woods. The Championship game was played against the Dallas Patriots and was a real nail biter down to the bitter end. The teams traded runs in the 5th inning to make the final score 4 – 3 for the Patriots. It was a great effort for the first tournament of the Spring Season. Their runner-up place qualified them for the Triple Crown World Series to be held later in the summer in Utah.

This past weekend the 11U Dallas Tigers opened their 2010 season with a championship in the USSSA 12UAAA Metroplex Opener at Texas Star Park in Euless. After losing the pool opener 7-5, they fought back to win 5 straight, winning the championship game in extra innings (7th) 6-5 against the 12U AAA Dallas Redbirds.
Next, the 12U Tigers took home 1st place hardware in their Waco tournament.

And finally, our 14U Tigers won the tournament championship down in Austin.
