Tommy Hernandez Named USA Baseball Regional Director

DALLAS, TX — Dallas Tigers Baseball Club President, Tommy Hernandez, has been named USA Baseball NTIS North Texas Regional Director.

The region includes Dallas, Fort Worth, Lubbock, Waco and points north. Players from across the region will participate in selection events and tryouts with the aim of being named to the Northern Texas’s 13U, 15U and 17U teams. The three teams will then ultimately compete in their respective age groups against 12 other regions from across the country in the NTIS, September 9-11, 2011, at the USA Baseball National Training Complex in Cary, N.C. From the NTIS, USA Baseball will invite a minimum of 32 players to future 14U, 16U and 18U National Team Trials opportunities with the ultimate goal of being selected to represent our country as part of Team USA. Wagerty Selected to USA Baseball Junior National Team

Another Dallas Tiger player had a busy summer, Jordan Swagerty.  Swags was named to the 2007 USA Baseball Junior National Team.  He also played in the 2008 graduate AFLAC All-American game in San Diego, California.
