Dallas Tigers Announce New Director for Tigers North

Robbie Nicholson to lead Dallas Tigers North through next phase of player development

DALLAS, TEXAS, October 1, 2017: The Dallas Tigers Baseball Club, founded in 1993 and a nationally recognized baseball organization focused on player development, is pleased to announce that we have appointed Robbie Nicholson as the new director of Dallas Tigers-North (Frisco) effective immediately.

Robbie’s appointment shows the commitment that the Dallas Tigers have for Frisco and the surrounding areas. “Promoting Robbie to director of the Frisco area will enable all Tiger players more exposure to showcase events and most importantly all the college recruiting benefits of being a Dallas Tiger with regional colleges near Dallas as well as colleges around the country,” stated Tommy Hernandez, President of the Dallas Tigers Baseball Club. “I have total confidence in Robbie excelling in the development of players and operating Tiger teams.”

Nicholson grew up in Irving and played his college baseball at Baylor and UTA. Previously he coached with the Dallas Tigers and Forney High School for four years where Forney was a state finalist for three of those four years. Afterward, Robbie coached at Bishop Lynch where they were a TAAP’s state finalist. Nicholson also was the director of the Dallas Patriots North for three years. Robbie’s ability to manage a baseball operation and carry-on the club’s mission of player development brings tremendous value to the Dallas Tigers and their families.

“This fall, college recruiting has been at an all time high for our club. Our high school teams have showcased at TCU, Texas, OU, Baylor and ORU,” commented Tommy Hernandez. “We still have an underclass Perfect Game event at Ft. Myers and an upper-class Jupiter showcase event this month for our players as well.  The PG Jupiter Florida event is the most heavily recruited showcase in the country, and we’ve been on the invite list for over 15 years. Working with these colleges and universities in our region for 25 years has paid huge dividends to our current players and families.”
