Dallas Tigers 9u-Polk Win 2012 Super Series Regional

The Dallas Tigers 9U Polk won the Texas Super Regional in Burleson on Mother’s Day.  The Tigers battled all tournament to overcome some great pitching going 5 – 0 on the weekend.  They faced the Dallas Tigers South in the Championship for the 2nd time this year.  Tigers-Polk took the Championship 12-0 with Tate Robbins throwing a No-Hitter; his 2nd of the season.  What a great way to celebrate Mother’s Day!  Congratulations on a great weekend!

Humphrey’s 14U Win Super Series Qualifier Burleson

Congratulations to the Dallas Tigers South Humphreys for winning the Super Series Qualifier in Burleson this past weekend. After eliminating the Dallas Tigers Arias 7-2 in the semi-finals, Tigers Humphreys moved on to win the championship game 12-4. Way to go!!

Dallas Tigers – Woods Wins 13U Super Series in Lewisville

The 13U Dallas Tigers – Woods won the Super Series-Lewisville Championship this weekend defeating The North Texas Longhorns-Gillespie 6-0. JJ Montenegro hurled a complete game shutout for the Tigers. This Championship adds to the teams early success having won the Travel Sports Brian Crawford Memorial in February and finishing second in the Triple Crown NTX Metroplex Opener two weeks ago. They are off to a strong 13-2 start. Congrats Tigers!!!

10U Take Runner-Up in Super Series National, Burleson, TX

10U Dallas Tigers, coached by Tommy Hernandez, played very tough all week in Burleson, Texas, at the Super Series National Tournament.  In the semi-finals they faced a very tough Avenger Force team out of Houston, Texas and won 13-11.  The championship game match-up was against the Banditos our of Houston as well.  Our Tigers battled every out in the national championship game, but fell short with a 6-5 loss.

We are very proud of the boys for the way they battled all week and played hard.  Nice work boys!  Go get them in Farmington, New Mexico next week!

10U Win Super Series State Championship – Flower Mound, TX

10U Tigers take home the rings by winning the Super Series State Championship at Bakersfield Park in Flower Mound, Texas.  The team ran through some very tough competition with Texas Heat, DBat Addison, and Irving Canes.  The players showed great toughness in winning 2 one-run games in games one and two.  Game three final score was 8-2.

Congratulations boys!  Nice team effort this weekend!

12U-Woods Take Back-To-Back Championships

12U-Woods Take Back-To-Back Championships With Super Series Regional Win At Bakersfield In Flower Mound

For the second consecutive weekend Coach Kyle Woods and his 12U Tigers left the park with a championship, this time with first place “gold rings”. After a slow start in a pool opener lost to the McKinney Marshals, the Tigers stormed back with 5 victories to claim the championship. The Tigers had to play four games on Sunday beginning at noon with the most convincing win over DBAT-Merle 14-3 in game #2 on Sunday. That was followed by a strong 11-3 victory over the Abilene Dawgs. In the championship against the Waxahachie Marlin, JJ Montenegro battled on the mound scattering 5 hits while Jake Whitbeck closed out the game with the save. The Tiger bats were the story pounding out 10 hits, led by Cole Solomon who was 3 for 4, a double and 2 RBI’s in the championship ring tilt and the 11-7 win. Other strong performances were delivered by Klayton Henderson (8 for 19) and Lance Russell (8 for 14) throughout the 6 games played on the weekend. Congratulations to a terrific month of May for the Tigers that netted Coach Woods group three championships!!

12U Tigers – Ingram Win 13U Super Series in Waco, TX

Linty Ingram’s 12U Tigers played up in the Super Series tournament in Waco.  In Saturday’s pool play, the team tied the XB Outlaws and beat the Belton Tigers.  Sunday’s bracket games started bright and early with a really solid performance (9-1) by the team with very strong hitting and pitching.  The semis proved a little more difficult against the Waco Storm Sox with a 5-2 win.  And the Championship Game was a repeat victory against the Belton Tigers.

This big win for the Tigers gives the team a positive drive to the summer season!

12U Tigers-Woods Are Waco Super Series Tournament Champs

Coach Woods 12U Tigers traveled to Waco recently giving a strong performance as they completed the weekend with a 4-0 mark, coming from behind to defeat the Lubbock Hooks for the championship 6-5. JJ Montenegro had a standout weekend at the plate and on the mound. JJ was 9 for 11 with 2 homeruns and 11 RBI’s. On the mound he was dominating in the first bracket game on Sunday, throwing a 12-0 no hitter against the Dallas Panthers. In the championship, the Tigers battled back from a 5-1 deficit by scoring 3 runs in the 5th to tie the game at 5. In the bottom of the 6th Klayton Henderson’s RBI single with the bases loaded completed the comeback win. Lance Russell came on to pitch in the 4th to shut down the Hooks and earn the win.

12U – Woods wins Super Series Mother’s Day Tournament in Waxahachie

The Tigers had a very strong showing going 5-0 through the weekend. They managed to run rule all but one of their opponents, missing that one by only one run en route to the championship. Davis Green, Garrett Carter, and JJ Montenegro delivered “extra roses” to their moms with home runs in games. JJ pitched a gem in the championship, as well, with a complete game win. Congratulations Tigers!!

14U – Webb Win Mothers Day Tournament in Waxaahchie

14U Dallas Tigers, coached by Drew Webb, won the Super Series Mothers Day tournament in Waxaahchie, Texas. There were no runs given up in bracket play by the Tigers!  Tigers played error-free baseball ball against D-Bat – Hoffpauir and won with a final score of 11-0.  Congratulations Tigers!!
