The Cincinnati Reds named Ronnie Ortegon Major League assistant hitting coach. Coach Ronnie as he was known in the Dallas Tigers Baseball Club, coached a number of teams with the Tigers and provided private hitting instruction for many years. Congratulations coach! Dallas Tigers 13u Watten won the USSSA OK-TX Shootout in Tulsa, Oklahoma this weekend placing 1st out of 64 teams. The Tigers went 3-0 in pool play and 4-0 in the top 16 championship bracket defeating the top teams from Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas and Missouri. Outstanding pitching, defense and two out hitting was key for the Tigers to capture back to back tournament wins. Congratulations to Coach Watten and his team!
The U14 Tigers Elliott finished an undefeated weekend by winning the Heart of Texas Challenge Open Division in Waco. All players contributed with timely hitting and excellent team pitching. Congratulations to 14U Kyle Woods Dallas Tigers who won last night at Super Series Baseball in Richardson, TX.
The 12U Tigers took home another championship at the Youth Travel Sports Spring Championship in Grapevine, TX. This team went 5-0 on the weekend and outscored opponents 63-6. Faced Texas Elite again in the championship and won 3-0. Garrett Reuben pitched one hit 6 inning shutout. Threw 64 pitches, allowed one hit, walked none, including a rare 3 pitch inning. Great job boys!
