Congratulations to the Dallas Tigers Hernandez for winning the 2012 AABC Mickey Mantle World Series. Tigers Hernandez have now won their third straight National Championship in as many years, winning Super Series World Series in 2010, AABC Ken Griffey Jr. National Championship in 2011 and now the AABC Mickey Mantle.  My hats off to every kid on this team. This past weekend Coach Woods Tigers brought home their 3rd straight championship finishing 10-1 in the week long Travel Sports World Series hosted at Oak Grove Park in Grapevine. After pairing down the 26 team field to 10 for the 13U Major title, the Tigers began their run on Friday with an early bump in the road, dropping their second bracket game to the Waco Thunder thus forcing them to battle through the losers bracket in the double elimination event. …

The 13U Tigers-Woods made it two in a row playing up an age group for the second consecutive weekend, winning the 14U USSSA Suns Out Guns Out tournament at Triple Creek Academy in McKinney. The 13u Tigers-Woods returned to the historic Richards Park in Waxahachie to win the RBI Jungle Classic championship after four consecutive 2nd place tournament finishes. Richards Park, originally built in 1916, was the spring training home to Ty Cobb and the Detroit Tigers, the 1919 World Champion Cincinnati Reds, Chicago White Sox, Kansas City Blues, and the Buffalo Bisons.
