Dallas Tigers 9u Polk and South Face Off in Championship

The North TX Lonestar Classic Championship game paired two Dallas Tigers baseball teams in the same age category for the 2nd time in the organization’s 20 year history; the first in the 9u Division.  The Dallas Tigers Polk edged Dallas Tigers South Autrey by one run in the final game of the weekend.  The game was highlighted by great pitching performances by both teams with Tigers – Polk winning 6-5.  Congrats to both teams on a great weekend.

Dallas Tigers – Woods Wins 13U Super Series in Lewisville

The 13U Dallas Tigers – Woods won the Super Series-Lewisville Championship this weekend defeating The North Texas Longhorns-Gillespie 6-0. JJ Montenegro hurled a complete game shutout for the Tigers. This Championship adds to the teams early success having won the Travel Sports Brian Crawford Memorial in February and finishing second in the Triple Crown NTX Metroplex Opener two weeks ago. They are off to a strong 13-2 start. Congrats Tigers!!!

9U Tigers Take Winter Bash

The 9U Tigers took home the Championship in their first tournament of the season in Colleyville, Texas this past weekend. The Tigers went 5-0 this weekend against some strong local competition including a 15-0 Championship Game shutout. Defense was strong throughout the weekend as seven boys rotated on the mound, but the offense was unstoppable, as the Tigers scored 72 runs in their two-day tournament.

Tiger Tryouts Huge Success

Thanks again to everyone coming out to Tiger tryouts!  It was exciting to see this number of kids attending in each age group.  Thank you as well for being flexible on the scheduling with the weekend rain, etc.  We were committed to making this tryout happen. Tiger Alum, Blake Beavan, Major League Debut

Former Dallas Tiger, Blake Beavan, makes his first start in the big leagues! Beavan, who was called up from Triple-A Tacoma on Saturday to start in place of injured lefty Erik Bedard, made his MLB debut in style. The 6-foot-7, 250-pound Beavan, who is just the sixth Mariner starting pitcher this season, sported impressive control with a consistent fastball and had the Padres batters generating harmless contact all afternoon. 11U Krowka – Legends Summer Champions: Youth Travel Sports

The 11U Dallas Tigers, Head Coach Kyle Krowka, went 4-0-1 on Father’s Day Weekend to become the Youth Travel Sports Legends Summer Champions. The boys took the field against the Southlake Dragons in the Championship game, for what turned out to be a dog fight.  Krowka’s Tigers were victorious with a score of 6-5. Individual Honors go to Hunter Watson, who was named the Tournament MVP!

Tommy Hernandez Named USA Baseball Regional Director

DALLAS, TX — Dallas Tigers Baseball Club President, Tommy Hernandez, has been named USA Baseball NTIS North Texas Regional Director. The region includes Dallas, Fort Worth, Lubbock, Waco and points north. Players from across the region will participate in selection events and tryouts with the aim of being named to the Northern Texas’s 13U, 15U and 17U teams.
