The 10U Tigers Majors, coached by Brett Bergman, won the Triple Crown Season Opener going 6-0 on the weekend and outscore opponents 49-3. There were a total of 41 teams entered in the 10-year division won by the 10U Tigers. Sunday, the Tigers went 3-0 and outscored opponents 24-1, including a No-Hitter in the semifinals.
“I very proud of the way the boys pitched all weekend, we had game after game of throwing strikes and competing on the mound – which is so fun to watch and provides a great opportunity to play deep into the weekend.” said Bergman. “In addition to incredible pitching, the boys hit a ton of barrels, it is great to see the execution this early in the season and exciting that there is still plenty of room for growth together as a team.”
As a result of their win, the team has punched their ticket to the Triple Crown World Series in Ventura, California.
