12U-Hernandez squared off with the Dallas Patriots 12U-Stout in the championship game of the Triple Crown North Texas State Championships. Both teams battled it out, but the Tigers kept the bats going when the game got close.
“I was proud of our kids this weekend for one simple reason, their approach at the plate,” commented Chad Polk. “Hard to believe, but it can be difficult to hit in a small field because the short fences are so hard to resist swinging to hit a homerun. Our guys hit countless well hit balls to the opposite field and we had some key bunts in the game too.”
Up next for the 12U Tigers is Southaven, Mississippi. Best of luck in the upcoming tournament boys!
