The 12U Dallas Tigers – Woods won their first tournament of the spring season, beating the Burleson Bad Boyz for the Super Series Qualifier Championship in Burleson, Texas. In a small but competitive field Coach Woods’ Tigers managed to come away with an extra innings victory over their “club mates”, Dallas Tigers – Ingram, to earn the championship game berth. Cole Solomon’s RBI triple against the Tigers in the bottom of the 6th sent the game into extra innings and Lance Russell provided the game winning walk off double in the 8th for an exciting 7-6 win. The Tigers – Woods stayed hot jumping out to an early 6-0 lead on the Bad Boyz and never looked back. Another strong start by Cody Masters and a perfect frame 6th by Lance Russell sealed the championship for the Tigers.
