News from the Dallas Tigers Baseball Club
The Dallas Tigers have been named one of the top five college development programs in the nation by Rounding Third. Highlighting the article are praise for Tommy Hernandez and Linty Ingram’s ability to keep strong players in the club year after year, stating, “That kind of longevity is a mark of a good program. It seems the Tigers are known for loyalty and that helps produce consistency with players and their development.”

Congratulations to three Dallas Tigers named to the 2008 USA National Team:
18U National Selection, Cotton Cain – Dallas Tigers 2009 and Waxahachie High School
16U National Team Selection, Matt Lipka – Dallas Tigers 2010 and McKinney High School
16U National Team Selection, Shane Henderson – Dallas Tigers 2010 and Flower Mound High School
Brian Ragira was named to the Under-Armour All-American Team in 2009. Jonathan Walsh and Jacob Morris were named to the 2008 Team.
Farmington, NM – Cole Green pitched a record setting NO HITTER, 1st in 27 years and only 7 in the Connie Mack World Series in 49 years. Tant Sheppard, third baseman, also made the 49th grandslam and had another homerun. Trey Johnson, outfield, with 1 homerun, Cole Green, pitcher, with 1 homerun and 2nd place in the Homerun Derby, Jonathan Kaskow received the Golden Glove Award. Congratulations Tigers!
The 2007 team coached by Linty Ingram tied for 3rd place.
Jonathan Kaskow, long-time Dallas Tiger and Coppell High School’s senior first baseman, has been named the Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association – Pro Line Texas Player of the Year. Jonathan was also awarded District 6-5A Co-MVP, The Dallas Morning News All Area Team and The THSBCA All State Team in both 2006 and 2007. Jonathan has creceived a full scholarship to Stanford University to play baseball in the prestigious PAC-10 Conference.
Another Dallas Tiger player had a busy summer, Jordan Swagerty. Swags was named to the 2007 USA Baseball Junior National Team. He also played in the 2008 graduate AFLAC All-American game in San Diego, California.
The Dallas Tigers Blake Beavans was drafted in the first round by the Texas Rangers as the No. 17 overall pick. Blake played in the club for seven years under head coach Linty Ingram. Blake was recently selected by Baseball America as the National Youth Player of the Year. As a member of the USA Junior National Team, Blake threw a complete game, 7 hit shut out with 11 strikeouts to defeat Cuba, the defending IBAF Junior World Champions, in Ciego de Avila, Cuba on September 26, 2006.
