The 10U Dallas Tigers continued playing great baseball in June. In the 5 day Travel Sports World Series with 37 10U teams from around the country and one international team the Tigers emerged #1. The team only allowed 9 runs in 8 games. Even with the outstanding pitching performances all week, the team also scored 48 runs in pool play and 40 runs in bracket play for a total of 88 runs scored in 8 games. The team went 8-0 and knocked out the Dallas Patriots and Dallas Texans in bracket play.
Also, as part of the Travel Sports World Series tradition, the championship team gets to dig up and take homeplate as a gift from the tournament. Check out the team autographed home plate photo below.

Dallas Tigers 11U Polk won the USSSA State Championship in The Colony this past week. The Tigers battle it out with Tigers South to take a 7-4 victory. This is the 6th time the Dallas Tigers Polk and Dallas Tigers South have met in a Championship game.

Good weekend for the 10U Dallas Tigers! They went 5-0 on the weekend with lots of offense and determination in the USSSA Baseball State Championship.
“Our kids showed some grit this weekend, especially in the championship game. They battled all game and came out on top. Proud for their efforts.” commented coach Chad Polk.

The 10U Dallas Tigers finished the weekend strong with a tournament championship in Strikes Against Cancer baseball tournament. The Tigers went 4-1 on the weekend and outscored their opponents 57-16 overall. Solid pitching and quality at-bats as a team were the highlighted differences in the games.
During bracket play the team had to go through a fellow Tiger team, D-Bat West – Sproel, Texas Ratlers – Stanke, and Dallas Texans – Lowe. “I’m proud of how our team carried themselves this weekend. Hustle, grit, and determination are contagious and we proved that this weekend,” commented Coach Polk. “A lot of things happened for this team that won’t show up in the scorebook and their development is fun to watch.”

The Dallas Tigers 11U Polk played at Baseball USA in Houston this past weekend and brought home the Championship. The Tigers scored 61 runs and only gave up 15 in 6 games on the their way to the Championship. The Baseball USA Premier Classic featured some of the best teams in Texas including Banditos Black, Team Citius – Joseph, Marucci Bulls, and Texas Citius.
“It was a total team effort all weekend. The boys are finally coming together and playing as a team,” commented Coy Polk. “We ran into some trouble in the first game and had to use a lot of our pitching. I was really proud of how they bounced back and came together. This team is really starting to jell, but we still have a lot of work to do.”

The 10U Dallas Tigers, coached by Chad Polk & Brett Bergman, won the tournament in Burleson, Texas this past weekend and went 5-0 on the weekend. For the tournament they scored 52 total runs and had a breakout offensive weekend.
“I like the way this team is progressing. Players are improving each week and the team game we play is getting better each inning as well,” commented Chad Polk. “The development of these players is encouraging, but we have a lot of work in front of us.”

The 10U Dallas Tigers coached by Chad Polk and Brett Bergman turned it on to get into the championship bracket at the Rangers Youth Ballpark baseball tournament. The tournament only takes the top 4 seeded teams into the championship and after loosing their first pool game, the 10U Tigers had to battle in the remaining 2 pool games to get into championship play.
Game one of the bracket they beat the Frisco Riders – Cruz, 9-4. Jaden Hill had a breakout pitching performance giving up only 1 hit through 4 innings of work and struck out 6 and JC Davis came in to close giving up no hits and no runs. The championship game was a rematch with their only pool play loss to the Dallas Texans – Lowe. The Tigers showed grit and were ready for the rematch. Quality at-bats and solid pitching were the difference in the 10-6 win over the Dallas Texans. Kade Sweckard provided 4 quality innings of work and Jonah McCormack came in and shut the door with 2 full innings of work giving up no runs, no hits, and striking out 3.
