Two of our Dallas Tigers went in the MLB draft on day one yesterday. RHP Zach Lee was selected by the Los Angeles Dodgers as the 25th overall pick in the 1st round. Zach sign a letter of intent to play football and baseball at LSU.
High school teammate Matt Lipka, short stop, was selected by the Atlanta Braves as the 35th overall pick in the 1st round. Matt signed a letter of intent with the University of Alabama.

The Dallas Tigers Blake Beavans was drafted in the first round by the Texas Rangers as the No. 17 overall pick. Blake played in the club for seven years under head coach Linty Ingram. Blake was recently selected by Baseball America as the National Youth Player of the Year. As a member of the USA Junior National Team, Blake threw a complete game, 7 hit shut out with 11 strikeouts to defeat Cuba, the defending IBAF Junior World Champions, in Ciego de Avila, Cuba on September 26, 2006.
