Farmington, NM – Cole Green pitched a record setting NO HITTER, 1st in 27 years and only 7 in the Connie Mack World Series in 49 years. Tant Sheppard, third baseman, also made the 49th grandslam and had another homerun. Trey Johnson, outfield, with 1 homerun, Cole Green, pitcher, with 1 homerun and 2nd place in the Homerun Derby, Jonathan Kaskow received the Golden Glove Award. Congratulations Tigers! The 2007 team coached by Linty Ingram tied for 3rd place.
Jonathan Kaskow, long-time Dallas Tiger and Coppell High School’s senior first baseman, has been named the Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association – Pro Line Texas Player of the Year. Jonathan was also awarded District 6-5A Co-MVP, The Dallas Morning News All Area Team and The THSBCA All State Team in both 2006 and 2007. Jonathan has creceived a full scholarship to Stanford University to play baseball in the prestigious PAC-10 Conference.
Another Dallas Tiger player had a busy summer, Jordan Swagerty. Swags was named to the 2007 USA Baseball Junior National Team. He also played in the 2008 graduate AFLAC All-American game in San Diego, California.
The Dallas Tigers Blake Beavans was drafted in the first round by the Texas Rangers as the No. 17 overall pick. Blake played in the club for seven years under head coach Linty Ingram. Blake was recently selected by Baseball America as the National Youth Player of the Year. As a member of the USA Junior National Team, Blake threw a complete game, 7 hit shut out with 11 strikeouts to defeat Cuba, the defending IBAF Junior World Champions, in …
