The 10U Dallas Tigers finished the weekend strong with a tournament championship in Strikes Against Cancer baseball tournament. The Tigers went 4-1 on the weekend and outscored their opponents 57-16 overall. Solid pitching and quality at-bats as a team were the highlighted differences in the games. Dallas Tigers 14U Woods roll through the Travel Sports Super State going 6-0 on the weekend. The weekend was capped off by beating their cross town rivals Academy Select Sun Devils – Ingram. The Tigers got on top early scoring three runs in the first inning. They never looked back and took the Championship 5-1 over the Sun Devils. J.J. Montenegro was lights out on the mound in the Championship game only allowing the Sun Devils to score 1 run. …
Dallas Tigers – Hernandez 12u won another Championship on Sunday in the USSSA TNT’s May Blast, Lewisville, Tx. The 5th championship of the Spring was won going 5-0 against 13aaa competition. Championship game was won in dramatic fashion, playing the Aledo Wolfpack 13u the Tigers went into the 8th inning tied 5-5. The Mid-South Super NIT was touted as one of the toughest tournaments in the country. The tournament would feature eight of the best 10U teams in the country including Dallas Tigers 10U Polk, Yalobusha Giants, Team Halo, Dulins Dodgers and Alabama Elite. Dallas Tigers Polk would put their mark on the South going 6-0 on the weekend. The Tigers scored 65 runs and only gave up 20 in their road to the Championship. Dallas Tigers 13u Watten won the USSSA OK-TX Shootout in Tulsa, Oklahoma this weekend placing 1st out of 64 teams. The Tigers went 3-0 in pool play and 4-0 in the top 16 championship bracket defeating the top teams from Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas and Missouri. Outstanding pitching, defense and two out hitting was key for the Tigers to capture back to back tournament wins. Congratulations to Coach Watten and his team!
The Dallas Tigers 10U-Polk returned to Ardmore, Oklahoma this past weekend to defend their title from last year. And that they did. With a pool of 48 teams, the Tigers were impressive all weekend in Oklahoma as they went 7-0 outscoring their opponent 83-8. The Tigers started off pool play throwing back to back no-hitters.
