Most everyone knows Darren Woodson for his Super Bowl wins, Pro Bowl selections, ESPN Pro Football Analyst work, and charity involvement, but as Darren would tell you, he is just another parent in the Dallas Tigers Baseball Club working to raise a family. The 17U Dallas Tigers were invited by former Tiger, Evan Gattis of the Atlanta Braves, for on field batting practice this week. The 14U-Kyle Woods team recently competed in the Perfect Game Baseball Tournament in Ft Myers, FL and had a number of players named to the All Tournament Team. Perfect Game has released its official All Tournament Team from the 2013 14u BCS Finals. The event was held June 20-26 at Terry Park in Fort Myers, Fla. The Dallas Tigers Baseball Club will be forming a new 12U baseball team for the 2013-2014 season. Kyle Woods & Chad Polk will be the assigned instructors for this team. Mr. Woods already has a proven track record of building championship teams. Starting in 2011 his team won 5 tournament championships. Dallas Tigers 14U Woods roll through the Travel Sports Super State going 6-0 on the weekend. The weekend was capped off by beating their cross town rivals Academy Select Sun Devils – Ingram. The Tigers got on top early scoring three runs in the first inning. They never looked back and took the Championship 5-1 over the Sun Devils. J.J. The Dallas Tigers 10U Polk played up a level this weekend in an 11U tournament at Texas Star in Euless. The Tigers went 5-0 on the weekend on their way to another Championship win. The boys met a very strong DBAT Mustangs-Buck team in the Championship. The game was an up and down battle early in the game with the lead changing hands 3 times.
