Former Tiger, Zach Duke, Signs New Deal with White Sox

Congratulations to Tiger Alumni, Zach Duke, on his recent contract signing with the Chicago White Sox!  In his free agent year, Zach signed a 3-year, $15-million contract.  He was a graduate of Waco Midway High School and drafted in the 20th round of the MLB draft by the Pittsburgh Pirates in 2001.  White Sox General Manager Rick Hahn identified Duke as a top lefty available this off-season. Congratulations Zach!

11U Polk Win Triple Crown Summer Nationals

The Dallas Tigers 11U Polk won the Triple Crown Summer Nationals in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina last week.  The Tigers rolled through the tournament going 8-0 on the week scoring 75  runs and only giving up 21 in those 8 games. “I could not be happier with the way the team played all year.  There aren’t too many teams out there who can say they won their last game of the season.  It’s a pretty cool accomplishment.  I’m extremely happy …

11U Polk Win the Travel Sports World Series

The Dallas Tigers 11U Polk rolled to another Championship this past weekend.  The Tigers took home the hardware at the Travel Sports World Series at Oak Grove Park in Grapevine.  The team played lights out all weekend going 7-0 beating the Dallas Mustangs and NTX Eagles on their way to the Championship. “ The boys have continued to get better week in and week out over the season.  I love seeing them compete as a team,” Coach Coy Polk commented. …
